ARTIST PROFILE
Doris Pavelich
Doris' work is characterized by her seemingly inexhaustible patience to portray detail, whether it be feather, leaf, or stone.
"When nature has taken so much care and time to evolve certain things", she says, "I feel I must also show respect for the effort by taking my time to relate the story."
Travels on the art circuit have taken Doris to many primary exhibits in North America. She has been featured by the Collectors Society of Minnesota, The Northeastern Wildlife Exposition in New York, the National Capital Fine Art Show in Ottawa, The Buckhorn Wildlife Festival, and many other premier shows in Canada and the USA. Locally, her work is on exhibit regularly at Roses Art Gallery and occasionally at the Art Gallery of Algoma.
An award winner in many regional and open international competitions, Doris Pavelich continues to paint Northern Ontario for herself and for her commissioned works.
Doris Pavelich lives in her hometown of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
